I considered throwing it up in one big chunk, but I suspect the good folks that use RSS readers probably wouldn't appreciate a large amount of graphical data hitting whatever device and connection they are using.

Which really makes me wonder exactly how many people use the RSS feed vs the Website. Something that's even more difficult to find out than generalised readership.
